The Adjustment filter is used to adjust and correct images or material channels.

How to use it?

With a material:

  • Add an Adjustment Layer
  • Adjust the different settings per material channels until you get the desired adjustments of your material

With an image:

  • Add an Adjustment Layer
  • Switch to the 2D view and select Scan1, Scan2,... input
  • Adjust the differents settings until you get the desired adjustments of your image

When to use it?

With a Material : Use it anytime you want to adjust a channel of your material. For instance : Reduce the height range, Shift the albedo hue or reduce the roughness intensity.

With an Image : Use it anytime you want to adjust an Image input

Post Sharpen Intensity: Adjusts the Sharpen Intensity over the albedo after all the other adjustments
Reapply Color: Permits to fill the albedo thanks to a custom color
Hue: Adjusts the Albedo Hue
Saturation: Adjusts the Albedo Saturation
Luminosity: Adjusts the Albedo Luminosity
Contrast: Adjusts the Albedo Contrast
Adjustment Intensity: Defines the intensity of the new adjusted albedo over the original one

Contrast : Adjusts the reflection’s contrast
Intensity : Adjusts the Intensity of the reflection

Smooth Detail Elevation: Adjusts the low frequencies of the height
Sharp Detail Elevation: Adjusts the high frequencies of the height
Detail Balance: Permits to tweak the balance that define what is a Sharp (high frequency) or a Smooth Detail (Low frequency)
Height Scale: Adjusts the global height scale. Negative values will invert the height
Height Elevation: Adjusts the elevation of the height
Apply Modification To Normal: Converts the adjusted height into a Normal

Ambient Occlusion

Recompute AO From New Height: Permits to compute an AO from the adjusted height with the same adjustment layer
Luminosity: Adjusts the luminosity of the AO

Enable the recompute AO feature will reveal new option :

Depth: Controls global AO scaling
Spread: Controls the spread of the AO
